Objective

Coming across interesting people on LinkedIn was easy. Actually learning from them, understanding where they are versus where I am and what their trajectory signals, took time and produced vague conclusions. The goal was a system that could take any LinkedIn URL and return a structured, honest analysis automatically.

The build

An end-to-end pipeline orchestrated in Google Apps Script. Paste a LinkedIn URL into a Google Sheet and the system handles the rest: Apify scrapes the full profile and returns structured JSON; Apps Script sends the raw data to the Claude API alongside my own profile context; Claude returns two distinct outputs, a career comparison covering experience, progression, and stack overlap, and a market positioning assessment covering where this person sits in the market and what their profile signals to employers. Both outputs are written back to the Sheet and the comparison is sent to my inbox.
