EMEA Event Targeting — Contact Location Enrichment
2025Objective
For two EMEA events in London and Amsterdam, the goal was to invite contacts who were actually near each venue. Knowing someone works for a company with a London office doesn't mean they're based there — especially for companies with multiple European locations. We needed to validate where 11,000 contacts actually worked, at the office level.
About the build
Built a Clay workflow with a layered enrichment approach. Starting from a list of target contacts, the workflow first ran Apollo and ZoomInfo to pull contact-level data, then queried Clay's native database to find self-reported location signals from LinkedIn profiles — capturing the city or office a contact had listed themselves. For contacts where location confidence was still low or no signal was found, a Clay AI agent ran a broad web search using the person's name, company, and job title to surface location clues from additional public sources. The goal throughout was to identify which contacts were physically close to each event venue and likely to attend — not just contacts at companies with a nearby office. Validated locations were written back to Salesforce automatically.
